The Xuan My traditional handicraft village was formed in XVII, XVIII centuries for producing lime, art objects such as horn comb and hair-pin. The Xuan My Communal house was built in the end of XVII century and was restored in 1903 by the contribution of Xuan My traditional handicraftmen. This communal house includes temple of 6 deities, stele house with surrounding landscape of banyan tree and river wharf. Through the formation and development of the Xuan My traditional village, we also obtain information on the process of settlement and the development of traditional handicraft villages in surrounding areas of former Hoi An trading port.
