The All - Chinese Assembly Hall

This Chinese style building was constructed in 1741 through the co-operation of traders from 5 Chinese regions, Fukien, Trieu Chau, Quong Dong, Hai Nam, and Gia Ung. It faces the river as is characteristic of other Chinese assembly halls. Additionally the hall has an approach that links it with the river. You can see a sharply warped up ridge in the roof frame of the gate building, which is peculiar to Fukien houses.
