Taking walk to enjoy the spectacular architecture work cluster, tasting the local specialities, taking with you several items of souvenirs for families and friends are what you are supposed to do once you are in the Hoi An old town. However, if you would like to have a deluxe suit, or beautiful and fitted dress made to measure in the shortest time, it would be a pity if you do not drop by one of the most well-known shop in the quarter – Thu Thuy shop.

Located at 60 Le Loi Street within a 1000 m 2 square in a open and fresh space, Thu Thuy shop became a famous and familiar name amongst both domestic and oversea tourists. Especially, the majority of oversea tourists from England, France, US, etc. called at the shop to get themselves some suits and dresses as they came to Hoi An. The shop has various kinds of silks with special categories. In addition, you would be welcomed by more than 20 professional staff equipped with communication ability of different languagues such as English, Chinese, French, Japanese, etc. and served by more than one hundred highly skilled tailors. You would immediately have a nice and fitted suit with delicacy in every sewing stitch at your first time trying it on.

Those reasons explained why Thu Thuy became a reliable address for tourists, let alone orders via emails.

In the early of the 1990s, VN had become a new destination for travelers and started receiving overseas visitors from all over the world.
Thu Thuy was just a young tailor running a small Silk shop in the local market of Hoi An. There came an idea that Thu Thuy had to do something for the travelers who came home with a memento from Hoian. Being a business and open-minded lady with  family tradition in tailoring, Thu Thuy decided to create a first 4-hour tailor service in 1989; and that came to be known as Thu Thuy Silk shop nowadays.
Beside running the business, Thu Thuy is also well-known for helping the community in preserving the traditional tailoring via training and in creating more jobs for the locals with the idea, ”Helping the community grow with tourism”.

At the present time, Thu Thuy employs over 50 sales person and 200 tailors working full time. Thanks to the experienced staff and tailors, Thu Thuy is famous for the service and quality. So, unlike other business in the neighborhood, Thu Thuy focus mainly on direct marketing based on the excellent service and quality, so that all the money spent for marketing fee is donated for philanthropic projects in Hoian instead.
